Advantages/Disadvantages

                                                                        WorkOut

Welcome Back

Today I'm going to talk about the training/educational requirements, advantages and disadvantages of the job. Some people think being a personal trainer is easy but its a little bit more complicated than you think and actually requires a lot of skills.

What you need to be a fitness trainer is education, training, and certified. particularly you need to have a associates or bachelors degree related to health or fitness education. Some athletic trainers have a masters degree. Its important that they have good customer service skills, communication, listening and most importantly motivational skills.

Being a personal trainer can be really fun especially if your like sports and working out.

Some of the pros about being a trainer are:

  •  You don't have a set schedule
  •  You make lots of friendships
  •  Your being active
  • You can prevent injuries
  •  Helping others make their goal
  • Get to travel
  • Make money
  • Be around athletes all day might even encounter famous ones
  • Health insurance
  • Retirement benefits

Cons of being a personal trainer

  • They put more hours into you than they get paid
  • They can get hurt just like anybody else
  • Things can get overwhelmed keeping everyone happy
  • Long hours
  • Have to work with attitudes, sweaty people, fix minor injury's
  • Leaves family behinds when traveling
  • Know how to deal with stressful situations

Its not always easy being a personal trainer. "  It’s not unusual for trainers to be stressed. Their work is constant -- as soon as one issue is fixed, the next problem arises While they’re taught to implement the best form of treatment, they’re often pressured to compromise their beliefs and change their decision, like allowing an athlete to play after suffering an injury that should keep him benched. The need to make quick decisions that potentially affect a client’s health or career can be overwhelming. " ( Torrance) They have problems too just like us we have to remember that when working with them and really appreciate them for their time.

Today I'm going to talk about nutrition, eating healthy. Good nutrition plays a big part in living a healthy lifestyle. (HHS.gov)

Making sure young lives a gaining healthy eating habits are so vital so they don't carry bad habits into their adulthood. Even those who aren't "obese" or at a healthy weight that eat poorly can still get an illness. Such diseases are heart disease, hypertension, type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis, and certain types of cancer. Having a healthy diet and food balance can really make a change in your life and reduce your risk and protect yourself.

Tips On How To Eat Healthy

  • Take small steps each week to improve your nutrition
  • Make 6-8 eating healthy goals
  • Make half your plate fruit or vegetables
  • Try incorporating fruits and vegetables in your meal like broccoli, peppers making desserts with strawberries, blackberries stuff like that.

  • Eat some seafood
  • Reduce salt, fat and sugar
  • Controlling portion size
Just by switching up your diet you might add some years to your life

Fitness training work enviroment

                                                                Fitness Matterrs
Hello Welcome back to my blog!

Today i'm gonna talk about the work setting of a personal trainer, the type of conditions and environment they work in, how much hey get paid, what you need to become a personal trainer, they're schedules and what they do and everything in that matter.

So if your didn't know already a person trainer is basically someone who helps you get to your ideal health and body goals. They are going to help with your diet and different workouts to achieve your goals. They give information and nutrition and weight control. They watch and demonstrate how to do different exercises and create different routines to improve your fitness.

Fitness trainers typically work in gyms, community centers, health clubs, and yoga studios.and all you need to be a fitness trainer is education, training, and certified. particularly you need to have a associates or bachelors degree related to health or fitness education. Its important that they have good customer service skills, communication, listening and most importantly motivational skills.

Typically they make about 39,000 a year, this may vary depending on what state or country you live in. Moat trainers have a full time job and just do this on the side, a lot of others might teach classes of some sort or teach a school or sports or gyms.

They don't really have a set schedule .. Some work weekends, some only work week days, and some even travel to other clients out of state. some trainers even work nights and holidays it really depends not every trainer is the same.

Get Off Your Bum!

                                                            Human heart
Being inactive can really take a toll on your health. As time goes on the number of adults and kids that are not exercising go up. Only 20.6 percent of people in the world met the recommended amount of exercise, that means the other 80% don't. in 2010 there was roughly 32.25 of men who were obese and 35.5% who are obese women that's ridiculous.

Adults should be getting at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity or 75 minutes of vigorous aerobic activity a week. a general goal is to aim for at least 30 minutes of some time of physical activity a day.

"About 5.3 million of the 57 million deaths worldwide in 2008 could be attributed to inactivity, the new report estimates, largely due to four major diseases: heart disease, Type 2 diabetes, breast cancer and colon cancer. The study finds that if physical inactivity could be reduced by just 10%, it could avert some 533,000 deaths a year; if reduced by 25%, 1.3 million deaths could be prevented. " (HealthLand

Some say lack of exercise is just the same as smoking!!!

Working out can add years to your life! Exercise can lower your risk of high blood pressure, heart disease, keep blood vessels healthy reduce fat and much more

I'm not asking for a lot but to just get up take a walk, play some basketball for an hour just be active, use your time you only live once and you don't want to cut that short!

                                                                                                   chief master personal trainer Miami

This post is going to a little more informational, Kinda telling you Being a what its like being a personal trainer and the pros and cons and other things you might not know about the career and things you should think about when working with a personal trainer.

To become a personal trainer you need to have experience with being a fitness instructor with qualifications of a level 2 certificate in fitness-instructing, Gym level 2 diploma in health, fitness, and exercise instruction.

A Lot of people forget that being your personal trainer does not mean they are your nutritionist as well. Granted your trainer might know some foods and diets to help but they don't know everything and they aren't certified in that area passing a couple cscs program doesn't mean much, so id suggest taking dietary advice elsewhere like from your nutritionist.

Motivation is tough for them, too.
" I don't always wake up and think, "ten miles! i'm going for it today!'," says Lauren Williams, the head coach at tone house. Its not always easy for personal trainers and  think a lot of people sleep on that. yeah they motivate you but who motivates them to keep going? Its hard for a lot of trainers to maintain they're own health to make sure they are sleeping the right mount of hours and eating right yet alone someone else's. Just be mindful and take that into consideration when working with  your personal trainer.
